Room 1 - Medieval Art in South Tyrol

The exhibition route on the first floor presents a selection of works from South Tyrol dating from the 12th to the 20th century.

The variety of medieval art in our region is presented through detached frescoes, paintings and sculptures dating from between 1200 and 1520. All the works come from churches and are sacred in nature, which is why they have survived centuries of historical and social change.
